Blackrock® LifePath®

An investment made just for pensions. One fund that automatically adapts as you approach retirement.

What can I invest my Raindrop pension in?

We know that investing your money can be a daunting process, so we're keeping things as simple and sensible as possible.

Through Raindrop you can invest in BlackRock's® LifePath® range. These are Target Retirement Date funds that are made just for UK pensions and are already used to manage over £4.6bn of UK retirement savings.

What is a Target Retirement Date fund?

A target retirement date fund takes risk based on when the investor is expected to retire, say 2050.

It then follows a flight path, changing what it invests in leading up to that specific retirement date. When you're younger it will take more risk to try to maximise returns but it will slowly adjust into less risky investments, aiming to preserve your savings into retirement.

Therefore you never need to worry about changing your investments as you age. Simply pick when you want to retire and let BlackRock® do the rest.

Pensions are a long-term investment. The retirement benefits you receive from your pension plan will depend on a number of factors including the value of your plan when you decide to take your benefits which isn’t guaranteed and can go down as well as up. The value of your plan could fall below the amount(s) paid in. Read the full risk warning here.
